The project aims to convert radio audio recorded on magnetic tapes and CDs to digital image and store it on private servers and on a digital library and archive the broadcast material that is converted so that it is easy to search for any material and retrieve and broadcast it easily, when needed. The importance of this project as a development project, is that the machines that can extract sound from old magnetic tapes are no longer being produced and even their spare parts are not available and so it is highly costly and impossible to extracting the sound from these magnetic tapes. The project also aims to developing the infrastructure of the network between external stations and the Ministry of Information complex to keep up with the technological development and the quantum leap in media by supporting the ministry with a high-speed fiber network

1. Improve audio-visual quality connectivity between the ministry’s sites
2. Connecting 18 ministry’s sites to fiber-optic network
3. Improve the quality and efficiency of FM radio broadcasting
4. Increase the number of digital-archiving workstations to 22 stations
5. Increase the number of transmissions of radio material to 50 devices and convert them from the harmonized system to the digital system
6. Expanding the digital archiving system for storing radio materials on digital media
7. Increasing storage capacity of digital archives to 100 TB
8. Archiving around 220,000 hours of all quality material of the
9. Ministry of Information’s Library
10. Improving the quality and efficiency of television broadcasts
11. Restoration of visual materials recorded on tapes and have them characterized onto latest LTO tapes
